Join us for our August guided hike at SKLT’s newest trail—Alewife Brook! We’ll be on the lookout for birds, wildlife, and the vibrant plant life that thrives in the summer months, including trees, wildflowers, and fungi.
This trail features a beautiful mix of habitats. About 79% is upland forest, with scarlet, black, and white oak, red maple, hickory, beech, white and pitch pine, and gray birch. The remaining 21% follows Alewife Brook through sloping wetlands rich with mountain laurel, rhododendron, sweet pepperbush, alder, and more.
Free, registration is required as space is limited. Inclement weather cancels.
All ages are welcome. Binoculars and boots recommended.
Please, no dogs allowed on guided hikes.
