South Kingstown Land Trust welcomes people to our organization in many ways. At the Barn, SKLT’s field office in Matunuck, we regularly host lectures designed to expand knowledge and appreciation of the world around us. Speakers are invited to discuss aspects as diverse as song birds in New England to how climate change affects our lives right here in South County.
SKLT also offers guided nature walks and other outdoor activities. You can help us monitor our protected properties, clear trails, or assist our office staff with membership outreach — we truly value the participation of our members and volunteers!
We sometimes invite members and guests to join in potluck food events at our Barn – sharing information, food, and camaraderie helps to build community. And that helps us all achieve our mission – preserving our sense of place in our town.
