Put on your thinking caps—it’s time to get technical!

If you’re planning a last-minute donation for a 2025 tax deduction, take note:
USPS rules have changed.
Postmarks are now based on first processing at regional centers, not your drop-off date. That late-December check could end up with a Jan. 2026 postmark, which may affect your 2025 deduction.

To make sure your donation counts:

1. Donate online (fast and easy!)
2. Get your check hand-stamped at the post office
3. Use Certified or Registered Mail
