Evening gatherings offer a behind-the-scenes look at the work, people, and places protecting South Kingstown’s open spaces.

The South Kingstown Land Trust (SKLT) is opening the Barn doors and inviting the community in.

SKLT Connect, casual open-house style gatherings held at the Land Trust’s Woodcock Campus, return for the 2026 season with five evenings designed to help members and non-members alike connect with the organization and learn more about the work behind protecting South Kingstown’s open spaces. Whether you have been a member for years, recently heard about SKLT, or are simply curious about the organization’s work,

SKLT Connect offers a welcoming opportunity to see what the South Kingstown Land Trust is all about.

Held during the warmer seasons, the gatherings invite visitors to our campus as the evening light settles over Weeden Farm. Guests can meet fellow nature lovers, ask questions about conservation, learn about volunteer opportunities and upcoming events, and enjoy light bites and drinks in a relaxed setting.

“These evenings are really about opening the door,” said Executive Director Julia Landstreet. “People hear about the Land Trust, but SKLT Connect gives anyone a chance to step inside, meet the people behind the work, and see how much there is to be part of.”

2026 SKLT Connect will take place at 5:30 pm on: April 8, June 10, July 8, September 9, and October 14.

All gatherings are free and open to the public and will be held at the SKLT Barn at the Woodcock Campus, 17 Matunuck Beach Road in South Kingstown.
