About the Artist:
Trish Hurley draws inspiration from the outdoors, creating expressive landscape paintings rooted in observation and experience. She works across scales, from small 5’×5′ plein-air sketches painted on site with a palette knife to large 5’×5′ studio paintings rendered with bold brushwork and vibrant color. Trish earned her BFA from the Swain School of Design and her MFA from UMass Dartmouth. Based in Wakefield, Rhode Island, she teaches as an adjunct professor at CCRI and leads workshops at Snow Farm in Williamsburg, MA. Her work is exhibited nationally, and she maintains a studio at the Mill at Shady Lea in North Kingstown, RI.
