After a hiatus of over a year, the Samuel E. Perry Grist Mill will be grinding again on Sunday, October 16 at 1 p.m. The Samuel E. Perry Grist Mill has been in continuous use from the early eighteenth century. We’ll observe the grinding of the traditional and closely guarded strain of white flint corn traded down ever since the first decades of Indian contact and enjoy jonnycakes afterwards. Yum! The grist mill is located on Moonstone Beach Road, less than a quarter mile south of Route 1 on the left (east) side. Click here for directions.
