Guided Hike at Crawley Preserve Trail
Thursday, January 20th (9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.)

Explore the serene wintry forest at Crawley Preserve, a beautiful trail system shared between SKLT and the Richmond Rural Preservation Land Trust. You’ll be on the lookout for wildlife tracks as well as interesting trees and other features of the landscape.

Free, registration required as space is limited. Inclement weather cancels.

Blaze orange required. All ages welcome. Binoculars and boots recommended. No dogs allowed.

Guided Hike at Browning Woods Trail
Friday, February 11th (9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.)

Take a trip back in time on a 2.5 mile hike that travels by the historical stone walls and foundations of Browning Woods Farm. You’ll be sure to find lots of wildlife tracks as well as interesting trees and other beautiful sights in the peaceful winter landscape.

Fishers & Other Critters with Laken Ganoe – CAPACITY FULL
Tuesday, March 29th (6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.)

Fishers are among the most misunderstood and maligned creatures of all native wildlife in Rhode Island. Learn why this is the case from Laken Ganoe, a PhD student in the Applied Quantitative Ecology at URI, who is currently studying the movement and ecology of fishers across the state. You’ll learn about the mysterious behaviors of this member of the weasel family and dispel some of the unfortunate myths. Hint: They don’t scream!
