Guided Hike at Browning Woods Trail – Town of SK 300th Anniversary
Friday, March 3rd (9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.)
Take a trip back in time into South Kingstown history on a 2.5-mile hike that travels through a thriving wetland before ascending to wooded uplands where you can view the historic stone walls and foundations of the Browning Woods Farm homestead. You’ll be sure to hear birdsong, find some wildlife tracks, and learn about the historic landscape of this 257-acre property that was acquired with partial funding from the Town of South Kingstown’s open space bond program.
Audubon Osprey Monitoring Training
Sunday, March 5th (12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.)
Since 1977, the Osprey Monitoring program has carefully tracked the population of these birds in Rhode Island and parts of Massachusetts as they recovered from the detrimental effects of pesticides.
Attend a free training session at the South Kingston Land Trust Barn to learn about the program and how to become an Audubon Society of Rhode Island Osprey monitor.
Attendees should be over 18, have binoculars or a spotting scope, and access to a computer.

Great Outdoors Celebration & Auction 2023

Gather your family and friends to celebrate South Kingstown Land Trust’s 3,070 acres of protected open space while overlooking the beautiful fields at Weeden Farm.
The beloved live auction returns with comedian Poppy Champlin as our auctioneer. There’s some unique auction items and fun experiences that you will not want to miss.
Wine, beer, cocktails, and hors d’oeuvres will be served.
